Turkey Sliders with Lemon Aioli


  • 1 lb turkey burger
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp basil
  • Dash of red pepper
  • ½ cup cooked bacon cut into bits
  • Bread crumbs
  • Wood chips
  • ½ pint of bourbon
  • Lemon Aioli
  • Mayo
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic


Soak wood chips for at least an hour in enough bourbon to cover them (about a half pint). Toss the pre-soaked wood chips onto hot coals if using a charcoal grill, or, if using a gas grill, place wood chips in a smoker box made specifically for gas grills or wrap your wood chips in a tight pouch of aluminum foil with holes punched in the top then place the box or pouch of wood chips under the grill grate, directly on top of a burner. When it begins smoking place your food on the grill. Grill the burgers and serve on slider buns with tomato and Lemon Aioli.
